NEWS: DEF LEPPARD veröffentlichen neue Single "Rejoice" + Tour!
DEF LEPPARD haben ihre neue Single "Rejoice" veröffentlicht. Der Song erscheint kurz vor DEF LEPPARDs Rückkehr nach Las Vegas für ihre Residency "Def Leppard: Live At Caesars Palace", die am 03. Februar 2026 startet. "Rejoice" ist ab sofort über EMI Records auf allen Streaming-Plattformen verfügbar. Das offizielle Lyric-Video gibt es hier zu sehen:
Zur Entstehung des Songs erzählt Leadsänger Joe Elliott: “This song’s been an amazing journey from concept to conclusion. I said to Phil [Collen] one day, "I've got this idea for a lyric where the narrator is at absolute rock bottom and wants to rise up to a higher level. Do you have a musical piece that might match with that?" And he said, "As it happens, yes I do.""
Gitarrist Phil Collen ergänzt: "I had this riff, this idea for a song a while ago actually, so when Joe came to me I created this drum loop based with a tribal sound and it fit perfectly with this other arrangement I had. I sent it to Joe and it was like magic - he sang straight over the top of it. And that’s how the song was formed. Then we gave it to Ronan [McHugh] who'd done a proper drum loop with different sounds. It all started gelling and just sounded like a powerful chant. We love it. It's hard rock for us. It's got a bit more of an "oomph" than stuff we've been doing for a while. It's kind of magical."

DEF LEPPARD touren im Juni und Juli 2026 durch Großbritannien und Europa - mit special guest EXTREME, sofern nicht anders angegeben. Die Tour umfasst neben einem Headline-Konzert in der legendären O2 Arena in London und dem ersten Konzert der Band in Paris seit fast 30 Jahren auch Shows in Zürich, Dortmund sowie auf dem Wacken Open Air. Von 03. bis 28. Februar 2026 gastieren DEF LEPPARD für eine Residency im Colosseum des Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, nachdem die Band bereits 2019 und 2013 ausverkaufte Las-Vegas-Residencies gespielt hatte".
